Dr. Mena is a distinguished physician and surgeon specializing in orthopedics and traumatology, with over 32 years of experience in the field. He is recognized for his commitment to excellence in medical care, innovation, and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Mena remains a leader in orthopedic and regenerative medicine, continuously advancing innovative treatments that redefine patient care. His dedication to medical excellence and bioregenerative advancements serves as an inspiration to both colleagues and patients.
Dr. Mena earned his medical degree from the University of Antioquia and later specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Throughout his career, he has performed more than 5,000 surgeries, focusing on complex trauma management and reconstructive surgery. He is also an expert in knee and hip joint replacements and non-surgical orthopedic treatments, utilizing biological therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and growth factors.
Due to his expertise in biological therapies, Dr. Mena has served as a speaker for Implantes y Sistemas Ortopédicos (ISO), educating professionals on PRP, morphogenetic proteins, and growth factors.
